All in a day's work

How many times can you write one child's name on a popsicle stick, name plate, laminated shape, etc?  Five times today, folks.  And that was just today.  Setting up a classroom for the start of a new year is a lot of work, and I'm pretty sure most people do not realize how much time we spend doing this.  That's in addition to learning new curriculum, planning the next week's lessons, and having meetings.  It is certainly tiring, but well worth it in the end.  Teachers who are called to the profession may be tired this week, but we are also excited.  Just like students who are excited to meet their teachers, we too are excited to meet our students.  We share experiences with them, and love to watch them learn and grow.  I'm looking forward to a great year, how about you?
